As early as prior to Australian government’s announcement the federal budget for 2017-2018, Australia Zhongren Enrichment Holding Pty ltdFor short: ZR Enrichmenthad already lodge the proposal for the upcoming Maribyrnong defence land development project. In May 2017, in announcement of the federal budget for the next financial year, ZR Enrichment’s Maribyrnong defence land project was included in the government plan, which means the project was officially approved and supported by the federal government.

 

 

Following the announcement of the budget, ZR Enrichment’s project has drawn lots of attentions from official medias in both Australia and China. The Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors- Mr. Les Tarczon has had several interviews with the official media in Australia.

The project site covers an area of 128 hectares, located 8 kilometers northwest of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The area average house price is between $650,000 to $1,250,000, average income is between $55,000-$96,000 annually.

 

The main purpose of the project is to turn the contaminated Maribyrnong Defence Site into a new and intelligent community which comes with residential, business, office, education, health care and entertainment functions and so on.

At the same time, the new suburb created from the project is expecting to help with Australia-China communications in business and culture.

 

 

The Australian Federal Government Finance Minister is committed to the development of the site, through the provision of surplus Commonwealth land to build new residential and commercial areas, to contribute to affordable housing and social housing.

The project will spend $2.5 billion on this waterside community, the development plan includes 6000 high-end houses and apartments, and some of the more affordable housing which is perfect for first home buyers.

 Currently in Melbourne, there a shortage of housing supply for 30,000 to 60,000 per year, the project will also help to ease the pressure this shortage in the next decade.

126 hectares of new high-end, environmentally friendly, intelligent community, will become a milestone in developing Australia under the leadership of Liberal Party Turnbull federal government and the Virginia Labor Party Bill Shorten government.


The project will also include a shopping centre, local schools, hospitals, library, an activity centre, a military museum, an arts precinct and two skyscrapers. This will create over 10,000 new job opportunities for Victoria.

The project team embodied the most advanced environmental protection system to build a public beach and swimming pool and two new bridges over the Maribyrnong.
